Dundee AI Day on Tuesday 26 May
Organised by the AI in Research Working Group, the symposium presented results of the staff survey, provided a gentle introduction to AI, and included an example of AI use in the context of the Dundee Health Informatics Centre. We also welcomed external speakers, including Dr Jennifer Cearns from the Centre for Digital Trust and Society in Manchester, leading a discussion on “AI and the generation of truth” and Dr Janja Komljenovic from the Centre for Research in Digital Education in Edinburgh with a seminar on Tech, AI, and governance in Higher Education and research.
We also shared our ongoing work on guidelines and recommendations from the AI in Research Working Group and discussed next steps.
